Company Background:
Established in 1992 with the purchase of the Greater Springfield land parcel, it today remains the master developer of the entire 2,860 hectare Greater Springfield land parcel.
Springfield Land Corporation has established partnerships with Australia's most respected corporations including Mirvac, Delfin Lend Lease, and Telstra, to progress the development of the Greater Springfield project.
Challenge:
Springfield Land Corporation required an all encompassing business technology platform to enable seamless coordination of all their projects, running concurrently together, in order to build an entire new city in South East Queensland, Australia.
The IT Associates Solution:
IT Associates was engaged to work with a number of business partners of Springfield Land Corporation, to come up with a suitable business technology platform. The project commenced by upgrading the legacy server equipment and installing new high specification server systems to provide a solid base to grow from.
Microsoft’s software platform was chosen from an extensive range of options. The first application layer deployed being Microsoft's Navision suite. Microsoft's Navision was responsible for handling the financials, which at the same time was integrated with Microsoft's SharePoint technology platform, in order to provide links from each project portal to the financials.
By offering the users a new server platform to work from and maintaining the Microsoft familiarity in the chosen application suite, Springfield Land Corporation went from having a dispersed network of mixed business management systems to a professional business technology platform that enabled stronger business communications and improved efficiencies. These improvements carried further down the chain to benefit their many business partners and personnel involved in the Greater Springfield project.
